I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Kevin Barker and I represent Railroad Development Services.

My interest in railroads began in my youth. As this interest grew so did my understanding about railroads.

My experience with the railroad industry first began when I was 18 years old as a seasonal track laborer. In this position I learned what hard work really was. In all kinds of conditions, I learned how important and how vaulable it was to perform well in my job.

Working in the railroad industry for 10 years, I gained a variety of experiences. Later, I operated a small business for 4 years. Then for a total of 2 years I worked as a Continuous Process Improvement Implementer for a major food processing plant. Finally,I worked as an energy conservation advocate for a school district for a brief period.

In June 2012, I decided to start Railroad Development Services because with all the experiences and talents I have and continue to acquire. It would compliment the Railroad Industry.

On the other Railroad  

I am still working closely with the superintendent of operations along with the President of this Shortline Railroad to present and implement cost saving proposals to these three potential customers for their business. 

Presently,we are working on getting a presentation/meeting set up in March 2014 for one potential customer in a Distribution Center for a Major Retail Store Chain.

I will be rescheduling a presentation/meeting with a Manufacturer for the Cold Storage Industry and Auto Parts Industry for Spring of 2014. 

Presently, I am working on contacting various suppliers to offer cost effective transportation services for their customers.

I will keep you fully updated on all these items.

UPDATES AS OF FEBRUARY 12th,2014!!

Railroad Development Services is still actively working with two Shortline Railroad Operations in Illinois to bring added revenues to their operations.

On one of the Shortline railroad operations. RRDS and a representative from a publicly known Railroad Enthusiast's Group are teaming up together to present and implement a possible revenue stream through a weekend event. We hope to get something organized for the spring of 2015.This is still in the works!!
